abundant magazine

It’s here!!!!

I have to be very honest and say that if I wasn’t so bogged down with life, I probably would have been jumping up and down and having a total dance fest when I opened this package. I’ve been w a i t i n g for this magazine to publish for a  months!

Over the past few years, I’ve jumped at the opportunities to write for different magazines – both online & in print – and seeing my work online or in print is always…. exhilarating. Ever. Having your work placed in your hands is oddly peaceful. But, as fun as it is, it’s also incredibly humbling and I take this work so very seriously. I know that my words are taken to heart, I know that my story is impactful and heavy and encourages a lot of women. So, I’m so humbled by these opportunities and always so grateful.

It’s unreal. abundant2

While I haven’t had the chance to really dig into the magazine, I’ve flipped through and could literally feel Jesus and peace. It sounds a little over-the-top Jesus freakish but because of the work I know these woman I write with monthly have put in, I know how dedicated they are to Christ, to sharing his love, and creating a space for community; I know that the work that fills these pages have been cried over, prayed over, and given 153%.

It’s good.

Sharing your life with full [or near full] transparency is not easy. It’s very hard. It’s recognizing that people will have a complete and voluntarily given wide lens view into your life. Then, they bring their microscopes. And, they aren’t always kind. Or cognizant of the fact that the little nugget “{it} can happen to anyone…” can actually apply to them. Within these pages are shared lives. Lives of women and families who are bold enough to open up because our belief that we can overcome by the sharing of testimonies, that faith is strengthened when we witness the Lord redeem, restore, comfort, provide, and part seas. Look at it as such…. as an opportunity to learn a little bit more about how our Father loves, as an opportunity to be grateful and humble or understood and grateful still, to support and serve, to pray and give grace. The sharing that takes place on these pages, on the website, and our personal blogs is exhilarating, thrilling, and heavy. It’s labor of love we gladly bear.

When you have a moment, I want you guys to click this link and head over to ThriveMoms.com and comb through their site. Read stories of how we’re being led to embrace chaos, mother with intention, build and thrive in community, and most importantly… how we rest.

While you’re there. Purchase a magazine… or two.
And, share it with a mama you know would love it.
Even, if it means reading it as you sit in the closet (or in the bathroom) while hiding from your children.
{{{ You do it, too! }}}

We’re unashamed. Because that’s just real life.
