hospital diaries day 5

So, first, it’s boring as all get out around here. I’ll be watching Netflix tonight and doing some reading since E! isn’t played on my tv.

Second, I’ve had some awesome nurses so I’m so grateful for that! Sweet nurses definitely makes the stay much nicer.

Third, I was struggling with a bit over the last couple of days, but am finally starting to settle comfortably in a new perspective. Thankfully.

I was so. proud. to have had a really great twin pregnancy. Thankful that we haven’t had any major issues and have avoided the minor ones. My girls are healthy and growing so very well and I hadn’t gained too little or too much weight. Great reports from all doctors, every visit and I even though I was making a concerted effort to slow down, I planned to hang around another 3 to 4 weeks.

So, when I landed in the hospital, I was a bit disappointed but at the same time expecting things to move, ya know? I wasn’t expecting to still be here 5 days later with no one to play with and ogle over. Lol.

The truth of the matter is, it’s a good thing that things are moving slowly. My girls were able to have (and pass) two more BPP’s and they’re staying put longer which is great for everyone – especially them. They’re both over 4 lbs and as active as ever – which is more good news. My Ob wants them to stay put until at least 34 weeks, which is Wednesday, so in a few more days we’ll be in the clear for these ladies to come whenever they’d like!

My belly measured a whopping 43 cm on my teeny frame which just means my uterus just kinda maxed out. Especially for a 1st pregnancy. (That’s a cm for every week you’re pregnant…. And, I was only 33w when I was measured!)

We’re good. And, doing well.
And, that report is definitely one to be grateful for – even if it does mean being stuck in the hospital!
